You could also load Components settings in var $components like:

var $components = array('Filter.Filter' = > array('filters' => 'here the array or $filters'));

Hi,

This plugin is great, the best filter plugin for CakePHP.

I'd really appreciate if you could spend some time explaining how to create fake filter fields and process them with before / afterDatafilter()

Thanks !

Greg

By the way, it seems that you have a little bug in controller/components/filter.php, line 239.

It reads : $options['checkbox'] = 'checkbox';
It should be : $options['type'] = 'checkbox';

Hi Greg!

Thanks for your feedback and the heads up about that bug, I've updated the plugin and pushed to GitHub.

And damn it, now I owe you that article.. :)

Great plugin! :)
I tried several, and this is what I chose to use.

I have one question, though:
How do I set a certain filter, like 'Show all bugs' ?
Do I turn off the filter for that query, or how? Did you use that in your app?
Or pass a different set of filter options?
